I feel a little blessed that I lived in Hawaii for a while. It really helped my creative process for the purpose of this project which was to build an olympic brand based on your hometown.
The logo is based off the state’s flower, and the natural wavy form of swimming.
A lot of my inspiration comes from the intricacies of Polynesian tribal art for their fluid, yet powerful movement.
The mascot was designed in contrast with the abstract style of the summer olympic brand, but had to still be familiar to the state of hawaii.
